About Marvel's stubbornness on undoing OMD

I hate it when people say that a return of the Spider-Marriage will never happen at all. It's not happening now, but not never at all because they don't know what the future holds for Spidey. I don't want him to be single forever and those hacks at Marvel who undid their marriage should realise in the first place that it's never a good thing to say that it will never happen.

One More Day tried to destroy the strong Peter/MJ fanbase and it failed to the point that said fanbase has grown stronger than ever. I've had enough of that anti-marriage crap and seriously, people praise Dan Slott for his run, yet ignoring his online behaviour, especially his tweets.

This is why One More Day is considered to be one of the WORST comic book storylines of all time and Linkara is right. Joe Quesada is a hack. He may have helped Marvel to recover from their financial struggles but he still is a divisive person. Saying it will never happen is when the bubble bursts and because of OMD, fans who gave up have turned to either the newspaper strips, Spider-Girl and more recently, Renew Your Vows. OMD is one big mistake that Marvel should've regretted in the first place. It is and will always be a big mistake that they've made.

Yes, the guys behind it (Quesada, Alonso and Brevoort) are still in power but not forever. Restoring the marriage is not happening now, not ever. If someone else takes over Marvel from those hacks Quesada, Alonso and Brevoort, then I'd like to see the marriage restored. Restoring the marriage can work since DC managed to restore the marriage of Superman and Lois Lane by killing off post-Flashpoint Superman but those hacks are being too stubborn to do so and feel that Spider-Man is better off unmarried, when that only worked before he got married. To them, it's not just BND but it's also events before The Wedding.

BND could've worked even with the marriage not undone. So what those three are saying is that we need to get over OMD and accept that Peter is single and that chances of the marriage is slim to none? We can't move on from that atrocity because it will always be one and will always remembered as the horrible story that Peter sold his marriage to Mephisto in order to save his aunt's life. Aunt May's role in the comics is no longer needed, especially that fans felt that her now-retconned death in ASM 400 was the best way to write her out before The Final Chapter revealed her to be someone disguised as her and that May was revealed to be alive and well, which raised a lot of questions as to how did she get replaced by an impostor.

Those guys may consider OMD a good thing but they'll never live it down for undoing the marriage by the deal with Mephisto in the first place and that is it.

Just remind me that...and even we got One more Day'ed in ben 10 thanks to rules of engagement(i dropped omniverse after that), the worst thing i didn't care that much romance but that chapter so poorly written and massive characther assasination.... make One More Day looks sane....

just forget it, dropped spiderman and never looked back.
